Because our girls have given us so much joy and such lovely kittens during their time with us, we like to see them retire to permanent pet homes where they can spend the rest of their lives as spoilt family members.

Occasionally at Tantus Maine Coons we will have retired breeding queens available to approved pet homes. Our retired queens will be desexed, fully vaccinated, Micro chipped, vet checked and will come with their pedigree certificate.

All our retired queens are sold for $400.00.

Retired breeding studs POA (price on application)

All new families inquiring about our retired breeding queens will be interviewed for suitability. We have raised most of these girls from kittens and intimately know their individual personalities and what environment they will be most suited to. Each girl will have a brief description of the type of home she will be suitable for. If you meet these initial criteria we would be happy to hear from you.

All our retired breeding cats are placed on a 3 week trial in their new homes.

All our retired cats and our kittens are indoor cats only. Anyone wanting to let their cat roam freely around the neighborhood will not be considered for adoptive parents. There are NO exceptions. If you want to give your cat or kitten a taste of the outdoors they may have access to outdoor life on a leash with their owners or in a suitable secure outdoor enclosure.

If you would like to give one of our retired queens a home please contact us.

Siah came to our cattery as an adult breeding queen. We have not been very successful breeding Siah and have decided to retiree her.

She is quite friendly and gets on well with other cats though she is quite dominant and independent. She would not be suitable in a house with young children. But would be more suited to a home with teenage children.

Siah DOB: 30/09/2002

If you are interested in adopting Siah please contact us for an interview.

Tantus Missouri is the sweetest boy you could ever want. So smoochy and cuddly. He is just a delight. Missouri or Podge as we call him has done extremely well on the show bench winning Cat of the Year is 2006. Podge will be available for adoption in late 2008. Podge will suite an environment with or without children. Although he gets on well with other cats he does spray. If housed with other cats this behavior will be likely to continue so we suggest a home that has no other animals. We cannot guarantee that neutering him will alter this behavior so he will be under assessment with us for a period of time after he has been altered to see if the spaying ceases prior to his placement in his new home.

Tantus Missouri DOB 25/9/2005

If you are interested in adopting Podge please contact us for an interview.

Well it is sad to say it's the end of an era. S*Pocahontas Koriki Sunranch Kid who has been our first and only import stud is now due to retire. Kid has given us so much joy and such lovely kittens. We would like to see his golden years spent on the bed of some lovely family, where he will be the centre of their world. Kid has a wonderful temperament and has given us some lovely temperament kittens to continue his lines with. We will be retiring Kid early 2009 with his stud partner Kasha. Kid does not spray and is a very clean boy. Though since Kasha and Kid will be homed together a house with no other cats would be the best situation for them.

Kid's DOB 20/5/2001

If you are interested in adopting Kid & Kasha please contact us for an interview.
